Good morning church and friends

Rest in the the assurance that God is love… 1 John 4:8, 16 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

Why is it so important to know that God is love. Because only then does it make sense why He would put on flesh… 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

And here is love in action… John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Prayer for today… Lord may I rest in Your great love today my God
