Rejection is God’s protection

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5: 1-5

A good friend of mine told me, “Rejection is God’s protection.” I never quite understood the magnitude of what that meant until I began to build an intimate relationship with God. It was then that I was able to see God’s hand in every detail of my life even the heartaches. As the pages of my life turned so a new chapter began along with triumphs and battles. Often times we want to give up and take the path more traveled versus the path of uncertainty when faced with trials and tribulations. It is in the midst of all this that we begin to cry out, “Abba Father!” Nevertheless, we persevere and stay the course. As Christians we have the hope in knowing that God is in control. So we continue to persevere towards the ultimate goal of giving God the glory in everything we do. The way we chose to live life here on earth must be a reflection of our devotion to God.

The greatest example of perseverance is the life of Jesus. He never gave up and the same goes for us! We should not quite before the blessing. We never know what God will have for us up that mountaintop. Today we can rest assure and know that we can “glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Along the journey of perseverance His promises will not fail you. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” ~Proverbs 3:5,6
